About us

A council built on the idea that distance is only a lack of contact.

The Hellenic Eurasian Business Council connects Greek enterprise with partners across Eurasia — through trade, dialogue and long-term personal relationships.

Our story

Why the Council exists

Greece sits at the western edge of a continent that is rapidly rewriting its trade routes. Eurasia — from the Caspian to the Pacific — is where new energy, logistics and supply-chain corridors are being built, and Greek shipping, ports and services have a natural role to play.

The Council was created to give that relationship a permanent home in Athens: a place where a company exploring a new market, a chamber seeking a partner and an institution planning a delegation can find one another without starting from scratch each time.

We are deliberately small where it matters and wide where it counts — a compact Secretary General's office in Athens, and a network of members and friends in every country we work with.

What we do

Three commitments to our members

01

Convene

Forums, roundtables and business delegations that bring Greek companies and Eurasian partners into the same room.

02

Advise

Market briefings, regulatory insight and trusted introductions that lower the risk of entering unfamiliar terrain.

03

Represent

A single, credible voice for the Greek–Eurasian business community in dialogue with institutions.

Principles

How we conduct ourselves

Independence

Non-political and non-partisan. We serve our members and the relationship itself, never a single interest.

Reciprocity

Every initiative should create value on both sides of the bridge.

Discretion

Sensitive commercial and diplomatic conversations stay in the room.

Continuity

Relationships built for decades, measured in trust rather than transactions.

Our community

Who takes part

Membership is open to organisations and individuals with a genuine, lasting interest in Hellenic–Eurasian cooperation.

  • Companies

Exporters, investors, shippers, energy and logistics operators with interests across the region.

  • Institutions

Chambers, embassies, development agencies and regional authorities that open doors.

  • Professionals

Advisers, lawyers and academics who understand both markets first-hand.

  • Young leaders

Students and early-career entrepreneurs joining through exchanges and mentorship.

Governance

How the Council is organised

President

Sets the overall direction of the Council and represents it to partners and institutions.

Secretary General

The Athens office that turns decisions into schedules, invitations and follow-ups.

Advisory Board

Senior figures from business, diplomacy and academia offering perspective, not votes.

Members' General Assembly

Convenes once a year, hosted in a different country each time — bringing the full membership together where the work is happening.
